Question of the Day: Motivation

If you’re struggling to stay motivated during the summer, you’re not alone. Summer schedules are crazy and unpredictable – and right now it’s about 185 degrees and humid outside. It’s not exactly the time of year when you look forward to a nice, long walk. Or maybe that’s just me.

During times like these – when life gets busy…or you’re just tired from the day-to-day chaos – how do you stay motivated?

I’ll admit that, right now, other people are my motivation.

Most days, I walk with my daughter. Some mornings, she rolls her eyes or drags her feet, but it’s just what we do. And if it weren’t for her – and that one part of our day that’s actually routine – I might struggle to get moving.

On Thursdays, I talk to my brother while I walk. And while our schedules sometimes get messy, we do everything in our power to fit in that time – which means that I do everything in my power to fit in a walk, too.

What about you? What helps you stay motivated when you’re just not feeling like it?
