Question of the Day: What Difference Does It Make?

In the six years that I’ve been walking regularly, there are so many ways in which walking has made a difference in my life – and it seems to change with each year, each season.

In 2025, I think walking really made a difference in my mental health. The past year was a lot. There were so many things going on that could have brought me down completely – but those daily walks (and my regular walk-and-talks with people I care about) got me through.

What about you? How has walking made a difference in your life over the past year?

Kristin has been hitting the trail (or the treadmill) for a walk almost every day for the past several years, and she recently completed her first half marathon. She loves sunny fall days, cushy walking shoes, and coconut caramel iced coffee from Dunkin.
