Question of the Day: New Shoes!

But first…a confession: I am a hoarder of shoes. I have so many pairs of walking shoes in our mudroom (and in our basement…and in our garage), but I just can’t bear to part with them.

Recently, though, I broke out a pair of shoes that had been waiting to be called up to the Big Leagues, and I know that I’ll soon have to retire one of my beloved pairs of walking shoes – because they’re getting up there in miles, and they’re just not as nice and comfy as they once were.

So my question for you: how often do you replace your walking shoes? Do you go by mileage, by time, or just by feel? Or do you just hang on to them forever, refusing to let them go?
