Workout Review: Brisk 2 Mile 4,000 Step Rebounder Walk Workout with Earth & Owl

After trying my first rebounder walking workout, I realized that it was a really good workout. The next day, I could definitely feel it—and I loved how it used different muscles to work with my balance and stability. I was eager to try a new workout from a new instructor, so I tried Earth & Owl’s Brisk 2 Mile 4,000 Step Rebounder Walk Workout.

This walking rebounder workout is definitely beginner-friendly. Though it’s over 32 minutes long, the moves are basic and easy—and there are only five of them. The workout cycles through five moves for one minute at a time: march, step touch, out and in (stepping wide and stepping back in), tiptoes (basically moving your legs like you’re walking without taking any actual steps), and a basic health bounce. It’s all set to upbeat music, and it moves at a rather quick pace. I still needed to continue walking for a couple of minutes after the workout was over to get to the full two miles that the workout promised, but it was pretty close—which means that it’s close to a 15-minute mile pace.

This workout doesn’t come with a whole lot of bells and whistles. The background is simple and free of distractions. There’s a basic countdown clock in the top corner that shows you how much time is left in the workout—and at the bottom of every minute, there’s a text warning to prepare you for the next step. There’s no spoken instruction, though—so if you prefer an instructor who guides you through each move and offers encouragement along the way, you won’t get that here.

Once I got used to the five-step cycle, I could continue walking without paying a whole lot of attention to the video. I could pretty much just go on auto-pilot. For me, though, that repetition was pretty dull—and the six cycles through the same five moves felt long and boring. If you struggle with more complex moves and just want to work on the basics before moving on to something more complicated, this is a good workout for anyone who’s relatively new to walking on a rebounder. But it may feel long and way too repetitive for anyone who can handle a wider variety of steps.

Pros:
– Simple moves – easy to master/remember
– Upbeat music
– Fast pace
– Basic countdown clock

Cons:
– Repetitive
– No spoken guidance
