Question of the Day: Your Favorite Race

I’ve got another race coming up next weekend! I’ll admit that I was planning on taking a year off from this one – because I’ve done it twice – but I was talking with a new friend about how I walk races, and she was super excited about doing one with me. And suddenly, here I am…signed up for another 5k. Oops.

I’ve had a lot of great race experiences (and a couple of not-so-great ones). The New Albany Walking Classic is one that I refuse to miss each year – because it celebrates walkers, and that’s awesome. But the Cap City is definitely one of my favorite events. The crowd is amazing, the course is so scenic, and there’s absolutely nothing like the after-party. This year’s race will be a little different – since I’m doing the 5k instead of the quarter marathon – but, even though I was going to skip it, I’m kinda glad that I’m not.
