Self-care can be big and elaborate and expensive, but sometimes the most effective self-care is just a good night’s sleep.

For many of us, sleep can be frustratingly elusive. Since I’m a night owl, a “normal” bedtime doesn’t come naturally to me. I have to force myself to get to bed on time—and, all too often, I find myself lying awake, tossing and turning and struggling to shut off my brain and find a comfortable sleeping position. And then, once I do get to sleep, I’ll wake up in the middle of the night, and nothing is quite right.

Through the years, I’ve tried a whole lot of different things to try to get a better night’s sleep. Some have helped, and others have gotten tossed aside after a couple of nights of misery. But my Marshmalloo pillow is definitely a keeper.

The Marshmalloo pillow is advertised as “the World’s Most Comfortable Pillow”—and I won’t even argue that it’s false advertising. It’s soft and comfortable and…squishy. From the moment I pulled it out of its box, I just wanted to hug it. It’s cool and breathable, and it keeps its light squishiness all night. It doesn’t get hard like most memory foam, and it doesn’t require fluffing, like your old feather pillow. It’s like sleeping on a Squishmallow—only without the lumpy parts.

The Marshmalloo is available in three sizes (Standard, Queen, or King) and two firmnesses (Soft or Firm). Since I’m a side-sleeper, I went with Firm—but that doesn’t mean that it’s hard. It’s light and fluffy, and it’s helped me sleep so much better.

If you’ve been struggling to get the rest you need—if you end up tossing and turning, trying to get comfortable at night—you might just need a new pillow. The Marshmalloo’s cool squishiness definitely helped me get more rest—so I can get up in the morning ready to do all the things.

Pros:
– Soft and comfy with just the right amount of support
– Available in different sizes and firmness
– No fluffing needed: doesn’t get hard or flat
– Stays cool and comfortable
– Hypoallergenic

Cons:
– Pricier than the average bed pillow

You can find the Marshmalloo pillow in three sizes and two firmness levels on Amazon.
