Gear Review: WanderFull HydroBag

When I’m hitting the trail (or walking at the mall), I know that hydration is important. But even if I’m not heading out for a brisk four-mile walk, I still never leave home without a water bottle. Perhaps it’s my emotional support water bottle—but I always feel a little bit lost if I find myself without one. Unfortunately, I rarely carry a bag that’s big enough to accommodate a 30-ounce water bottle—so I end up lugging it wherever I go. Or at least I did—until I got the HydroBag from WanderFull.

The HydroBag offers a way to carry that emotional support water bottle without dragging a gigantic tote bag wherever you go. It’s a simple but stylish and sturdy bag that can be worn on the shoulder or crossbody to carry all of your essentials (including that big, bulky water bottle). Though the bottle holder is central, it also includes two roomy zipper pockets that will store everything you need for a walk on the trail or a trip to the grocery store. The front pocket is water resistant, and it’s the perfect size for your phone, while the inside pocket comes with card slots for your ID, credit cards, cash, and more. There’s plenty of room here for everything from keys and earbuds to lip balm and hand sanitizer.

As for the water bottle space, it won’t hold your massive 40-ounce Stanley, but it will fit up to a 30-ounce bottle. I have a couple of different go-to bottles: one 30-ounce and one 24-ounce. And while the 24-ounce bottle doesn’t fit as snugly, it’s still a good fit. The compartment is sturdy and well-made—offering your emotional support water bottle plenty of support. And though it wasn’t necessarily designed to carry your emotional support large iced coffee, I may have double checked to make sure that it also fits.

If you tend to travel light (like I do) on the average day, this bag will offer more than enough room for your errand-running needs. If you’re heading to the mall, it’ll easily take you from mall-walking to mall-shopping. And while I’d still choose my handheld flask for a brisk solo trail walk, this would be a great choice for a walk-and-talk with a friend.

For anyone who can’t leave home without their emotional support water bottle, the HydroBag is the perfect everyday bag. It will carry your favorite water bottle from the trail to the grocery store—and make you look much more stylish and put-together than you probably feel.

Pros:
– Carries up to a 30-ounce water bottle (or a large iced coffee!)
– Two pockets for carrying phone, keys, cards, and other essentials
– Sturdy and supportive
– Stylish and well-made
– Available in a number of colors and prints

Cons:
– Won’t fit your Stanley
– More for casual outings than workouts—will bounce at brisk paces

You can find WanderFull’s HydroBag in a number of colors and prints and patterns on Amazon.
