Take the June Color Challenge!

If you’re like me, the last few weeks have passed in a blur. Maycember is a month of sheer chaos—a month when travel sports collide with final school projects and studying for finals and those end-of-year ceremonies and concerts and team outings.
But I’m here to tell you that it’s almost over. We’ve got just a few more days of May before we move into June—which, admittedly, just brings a different kind of chaos. Over the last month, we’ve been challenging ourselves with our National Walking Month Challenge—which had us exploring new paths and walking at sunset and greeting the people we met on our daily walks. (And as we wind down our May challenge, don’t forget to share your finished bingo board by next Monday for your chance to win some fun walking goodies!)
But now it’s time to prepare for a new monthly challenge: our June Color Challenge! For the next month, we’re going to set out to #WalkTheRainbow!
During the month of June, you’ll see rainbows everywhere—it’s Pride Month, after all—and we’re adding to the colorful fun by walking the rainbow this month. For each day of the month, you’ll find a different color filling in that day on the calendar.

You have two ways to join in the fun for the day:
1) When you go out (or stay in) for your walk for that day, wear something that matches the day’s color—and share a picture. You don’t have to dress all in one color—just have something on that matches the day’s color, and you’re good! Have fun with it!
OR
2) While you’re out on your walk, look for something along the path…or in the mall…or in your neighborhood that matches the color for the day. Then be sure to take a picture of the day’s color discovery and share it!
This is also a great opportunity to have the kids join in the fun! I don’t know about you, but now that summer vacation is here, that means that I’ll be spending a lot of time trying to get my daughter to put down her phone long enough to join me for regular walks. A challenge like this one can be a great way to keep your kids engaged while you’re tricking them into getting some fresh air and exercise while getting away from their screens for a while. You could even challenge them to see how many things they can find in the day’s color—and share all of your pictures! I can’t wait to see how creative you (and they) get throughout the month, and I look forward to seeing all of your pictures!
When you post your rainbow pictures on social media, be sure to include #WillWalkForCoffeeChallenge and #WalkTheRainbow and tag us! Feel free to comment on our posts with your own colorful adventures, too! Participating in the challenge will get you entered to win some more fun walking prizes!
