Workout Review: 15 Minute Walking Workout by Moore2Health

On a wet, gray Friday morning, when my body was tired and screaming for a rest day, I decided that a short indoor workout would be enough for that day—so I pulled up YouTube on the basement TV to try another indoor walking workout.  This time, I chose the 15 Minute Walking Workout from Moore3Health’s Tiffany Moore.

This workout may be marketed as good for your lunch break, but it’s still a good workout for just 15 minutes—one that will work up a good sweat (so don’t plan for any on-camera meetings right after lunch).  Tiffany puts viewers through a variety of moves at a good pace to keep things from getting monotonous, while also adding in arm movements from time to time to get the whole body moving.  The moves are generally pretty simple, and while she doesn’t always give a whole lot of explanation (or warning), it’s usually easy to follow along and make the change when she does.

While some similar walking-at-home videos are in a studio setting, this one is more relaxed—seemingly a cozy rec room in Tiffany’s home.  It gives the video a more intimate feel—as does the fact that there’s nothing fancy about it.  If you’re looking for timers or step counters, you won’t find them here.  Tiffany, too, is pretty no-nonsense.  She’s upbeat without being perky.  She explains everything and smiles through the workout, though she isn’t necessarily motivational.  So your enjoyment of the video’s low-key style will come down to taste.  If you prefer flashier videos with fancy studios and chatty hosts, this one won’t be for you.  But if you like an easy-going, low-key approach, you’ll enjoy this quick but effective walking workout.  It’s a good choice for days when you need to fit in something short, when you’re stuck indoors, or when you just need to change things up a little.

Pros:
– Relaxed setting
– Upbeat music
– Basic moves
– Good workout in a short time

Cons:
– No fancy step counts or timers—if that’s something you’re interested in
– Could be a little more energetic
