In case you haven’t noticed, I have a bit of a goodr sunglasses obsession. Once I fell in love with the OGs (here’s a look back at my review), I felt the need to get them in every color. And then I needed to try different styles, too—like these Mach G aviator-style sunnies.
Just like goodr’s other styles (like the OGs), the Mach Gs are polarized and designed with a special grip coating that keeps them from sliding around, no matter whether you’re flying a plane or hitting the trail. They also come in a variety of different colors (like my Cheesy Flight Attendants in orange and my Captain Blunt’s Red-Eyes in red).
And I love the aviator style—and, as an added bonus, since they don’t have the annoying nose pads that come on other aviators, I can put them on top of my head without getting them tangled up in my hair. It’s nice to have aviators that don’t rip out clumps of my hair when I wear them.
While you’ll sometimes find me out on the trail in my Mach G sunnies, though, I tend to use them more for everyday glasses. Believe it or not, they’re even lighter than the OGs—which is saying a lot—so I’ve noticed that they tend to move around a little more than some of my other styles. The lenses also seem to be a little bit darker. But while they’re not my top choice for more energetic walks, they’re great for easier strolls—and they’re just the thing for looking fly while piloting my SUV to hockey practice.
Pros:
– Super stylish (of course)
– Available in a variety of colors
– Polarized
– Designed to stay put
– Light as air (even lighter than other styles)
– Great shade for sunny days
Cons:
– Super light weight means that they bounce a little more than other styles
– May be too wide for smaller faces
You can pick up your own pair of Mach Gs (or one in every color) at your local running store, at goodr.com, or on Amazon.
