Music Monday: Freedom

As some of you know, in one of my other lives, I’m a film critic. That means that November and December are busy months for me. I spend a lot of time watching all of the year’s award contending movies. Sometimes I do that at my local theater. Sometimes while sitting in my home theater. And sometimes I get caught up on movies while I’m on the treadmill. One of the movies that I caught up on last month with American Symphony, a Netflix documentary about Jon Batiste. If you haven’t seen it, it’s definitely worth a look. During the movie, Jon performs this song at the Grammys – and suddenly, I wasn’t just walking on the treadmill. I was dancing. There’s just something about this song that makes you want to move. So I can’t think of a better song to add to our January walking playlist – because even on cold, dreary January mornings, this song will make you want to get moving.
